Grid Tactics is a minimalist 1v1 abstract strategy game that combines elegant rules with deep, tactical gameplay. Inspired by ancient board games, it's played on a grid where your goal is straightforward: outmaneuver your opponent to capture their pieces or corner them into a stalemate.

The name Grid Tactics reflects its core philosophy: the rules are gentle and easy to grasp, but the strategies required to win are surprisingly complex and rewarding.

How to Play

Your objective is to either capture all of your opponent's pieces or leave them with no legal moves. The art of capture is what makes Grid Tactics unique:

• The Sandwich Capture (AAB or BAA): Line up two of your pieces next to a single enemy piece at the end of a row or column to capture it.
• The Center Squeeze (B-A-B): The most powerful move. Place your piece directly between two enemy pieces on a straight line to capture them both simultaneously.

But beware—a simple alternating pattern (A-B-A) won't work. Every move matters, and a single placement can turn the tide of the game.
